Anchorage to take shelter and enjoy visiting the city. For information, to get to Erice the 23 bus takes us to the funicular, the 21 brings us back. But in strong winds the funicular is closed! So we hired a scooter. Village on the magnificent heights

Anchored here for a couple of days, excellent protect from 30 knots S/SW & away from the heavy August marine traffic. One evening wind changed several times, strong gusts from different directions & anchor dragged. Hauled up & anchored again without a problem until wind changed again to North & we had to move.

Very safe from SOuth SW & SE swell that builds during sirocco winds, excellent holding 10 meters in over 35 knots of SE winds didn’t move an inch, anchor dug in first attempt and the breakwater protects from swell, you still get the wind but it’s very comfortable as the boat sits into the wind without getting the swell from the open sea, highly recommended, the town is close and there is lots to see, dinghy dock alo available at the marinas and they are very helpful, port authority also very helpful.
