We tried to get in here during a fresh afternoon breeze, but the bay funnels the wind and waves so badly, we couldn't even approach the marina. One sailboat tied alongside the concrete quay, but it looked too wild so we turned around and went away. We came back next morning when it was calm, tied to the concrete quay and did a quick supermarket run, left around noon when the nortwesterly was just starting to blow. We would not stay overnight, though the town is very nice.

Not really a marina. There are a few floating pontoons with no room to put the anchor out for me mooring and they don’t look that good for any strong wind. We found the concrete quay better and went side on. Nobody charged us for mooring or water, but the electric points are not in operation. Hardly any tourists and we were the only cruiser, even though it was in the high season. Plenty of very cheap taverns and bars. There is what seems to be a commercial quay but it was not used while we were there. If you want to escape the popular Ionian towns, then this is perfect. There are also lots of quiet anchorages in the gulf.

This harbor consists of 3 floating jetties to be protected by a floating breakwater. The harbor is full of moorings and floating lines upon our arrival. A very opaque situation. Wind and waves are in it. Free berths were generously occupied by local boats. We could not find alternative anchor places.
