Had a rough trip around the Mull so decided to end our trip in Cambletown. Callum was very welcoming and gave us plenty of info that only a local would know, he also put us in touch with a marine engineer who did some work for us.

After a bad passage, we were so thankful to be greeted by such a friendly and welcoming harbour master. He made space for us even though it was busy ("we never turn a boat away!") and we really enjoyed our stay in this unspoit (but quite sleepy) little town. The marina facilities were excellent.

Good place to hide for a few days when the weather turns bad. Port Facilities clean and basic. We paid £25 per night for a 45’ boat. Staff friendly and helpful. Three Whisky distilleries in the town if that’s your thing. Leisure centre with swimming pool closeby. Not great place to explore from as it’s a very long way from anywhere and transport links aren’t great but maybe that remoteness is part of its charm.
