Super welcome, top sanitary facilities, unfortunately in March, many shops are closed and, moreover, Covid period requires, no restaurants open in the evening. However, what a joy to be able to taste a cerveza and paella on the terrace ....

Super accueil, sanitaires au top, malheureusement en Mars, beaucoup de commerces sont fermés et de plus, période Covid oblige, pas de restos ouverts le soir. Néanmoins quel bonheur de pouvoir déguster une cerveza y paella en terrasse....

We had a tough 5 hour beat up the coast from Sant Feliu de Guixols and were glad of the shelter of Les Islas de Medes to drop our mainsail close to the straightforward entrance to Port de L'Estartit . We were met by a rib on calling CH9 and quickly directed to a berth on the port side of the marina adjacent to the beach that seems to be reserved for visitors. The marinero gave us the key card for the nearby showers (no deposit) and as the office was closed after 1500 on a Sunday afternoon, we paid for our stay the next day at the captainerie about a 10 minute walk round the harbour. The cost for our 12m yacht in mid September 2020 was 49.23 eu/night. The showers were wonderful! New, spacious, clean, with endless full flowing hot water. There was a washing machine and tumble dryer alongside the captainerie (6 eu wash, 4 eu dry) a Spar supermarket 10 minutes walk into the town and a Lidl on the edge of town. The strong northerly wind persisted so ended up staying 3 nights. A marinero came round on our last night checking that we'd paid!
