Charming sloping town with beautiful architecture and magnificent views of the gulf. Nice restaurants on the port or in town, but a pitiful Marina, no real welcome, no VHF, no shower, no wifi, dock in poor condition, access to the village by a dusty road. No official rate and an exorbitant asking price. Pity !

Dommage !

We planned to anchor in the bay, but wind change and we decided for this marina. The other one was ‘Closed’. Warm welcome, bouncy pontoons, close to the harbour wall, but the price included free water taxi to the town and back. What a town. Don’t miss it. Restaurants busy but not flat out in mid September, lovely upper part of town with a Puccini street shops and restaurants all in good condition. Seems very popular with Italian tourists. We ate in a restaurant on top of the fortress wall. Lovely atmosphere and beautiful by night. Fantastic views.

Beautiful town, well worth visiting, touristy but not too busy at end of August. We phoned Club Nautico on +39092432511 and were directed to the first pontoon on the right before entering the inner harbour. €60 for 12m. Pontoon is a little rickety but lazy lines (2) seem good. Staff very friendly and helpful, free 24 shuttle water taxi to town or walk round the track (only takes 10-15 minutes to walk). Electricity good, water flow is also good but you have to ask them to turn it on as it has to be pumped to the taps! No other facilities but the whole harbour appears to be a work in progress so expect it will improve in time and in the meantime is a lovely stop despite lack of luxury.
