Cute small town, deserted and closed on Sundays. Lidl is within sight from the lock. Be sure to time entrance with tides as the deepest part curves in unpredictable ways. Though the marina is behind a lock, part of your keel will be stick in soft mud for parts of the day. I had a clogged seacock/cooling inlet upon leaving, which the canals are known for. Beware of fishing pods in the area. I personally would not approach at night.

Very friendly welcoming staff. Place is kept clean and tidy, good restaurant on site plus others within easy walk. LIDL store within 200 metres from visitors berths. Booking in advance means you get located nearer showers bar etc
