Sent an email requesting a berth two days before we planned to arrive and received confirmation of a place and the cost, 19 euros plus taxes. On arrival, we called up the captainerie and were advised that there was no berth available. Disappointed, (and unhappy!) we diverted to the other marina, La Ciotat Nouveau Port de Plaisance and found a berth stern to the quay. (See separate review). After sending an email to Le Vieux Port to complain, we received a call to say Le Vieux Port had a berth, after all, in fact there were several. Too late.

Entering the port in a force 5 wind, heavy gusts, no help provided by the port team, the harbor master's boat broken down, boats entering the posts in bulk because of skids .... The toilets are near the harbor master's office, for we at the other end of the port ... Young people settle down to spend the night on the unoccupied boats.
