Imagine an architect who started from the observation that paradise was a garden to build a city dedicated to leisure and holidays. It is around the port which today has 1500 rings, that La Grande Motte took shape, built its identity and consolidated its nautical vocation sheltered from the Bay of Aigues Mortes. Entirely dedicated to the pleasures of the sea and boating, it is today a benchmark in this area. The port of La Grande Motte welcomes you in an exceptional setting, harmoniously combining exceptional architecture, labeled "20th century heritage" and unspoiled nature. The quality of its port and nautical services and facilities make it a port of excellence.

Registered at the friendly captainerie and allocated a berth on pontoon G on a 'duc d'Albe' mooring, vacant as the permanent resident was away. Unfortunately, no one to help us with lines (our first encounter with this type of mooring) and after settling down for a couple of hours we were asked to move as the permanent berth owner had returned! Somewhat inconvenient! Our new berth was on the reception pontoon. Showers/toilets were average and in need of some updating. We paid 35.58 euros for one night in September 2020. Departed with a gift of a bottle of rosé wine for the inconvenience caused by having to move berths. La Grand Motte has some dominating modern architecture however, we found the resort a little soul-less.

We stayed here for one night in June. Great welcome at the harbor master's office. The visitor pontoon is quite far from the restaurants and the city, but the sanitary facilities are very close. Large seaside resort with many amenities and entertainment.
Nous y avons passé une nuit en juin. Super accueil à la capitainerie. Le ponton visiteur est assez éloigné des restaurants et de la villes mais les sanitaires sont très proches. Station balnéaire de grande taille avec nombreuses commodités et animations.
Professional welcome and quality services. The town of La Grande Motte allows for an excellent stay.
