Agree with most of the comments below. Mooring man on the dock caught our ropes. Took two attempts to hold with anchor. Charged €15!!!! Then €7 per night plus extra for water and power. Very noisy with cars and bikes at your stern. Music from bar until 0200😏 think not every night though. Symi however is a beautiful little Greek village. Good supplies ashore and taverna’s galore. Checking out of here for Turkey.

The people who run this port really leave something to be desired. I will never go back. It took only one day to understand that everything that happens here is wrong. One has to pay two euros per person as a tax, unique to Symi. The reason? Unknown. Then there is still the scam of the abusive mooring operator, who bought receipts in the tobacconist, who, as everything is written in Greek, you don't understand a cabbage. Then there is the water one, completely rude, who asks you for 5 euros even if you only need 20 liters of water that the boat next to you is offering him because he has already paid for it. Inside the port there is always the wave of the ferries and the noise of the restaurants until 2 am. By now, the water in the port has a stench that makes you faint. For all that can be seen in Symi, I advise you to stay in Italy. However, I must say, at least we ate very well in a place called “The Secret Garden”.

Sconosciuto.

The mooring aid scam continues (10 € to spend 2 moorings). When we passed, there were only 5 pleasure boats while the port can accommodate several dozen. We can really avoid this stopover so that they can review their procedures (mooring aid included in the port price for example!)
