The Port of Garavan was inaugurated in 1967, it is the heart of the Garavan district. It is just 700 meters from the Italian border and less than 2 km from the city center. It is considered to be one of the largest ports on the French Riviera since it has 770 berths. This port, located on the edge of a residential area, offers boaters a full service on a postcard background. Its particularity is to be the first or the last port in France. The Port of Garavan is located at a land crossroads between France and Italy but also at sea. Its location makes it one of the closest starting points to Corsica, Sardinia or Sicily. You will find shops specializing in boating (shipchandler, repair, etc.) but also several quality restaurants. A launching crane is managed by the harbor master's office for your vessels up to 2 tonnes and for larger units you can benefit from the services of the shipyard which accommodates vessels up to 50 meters in length. A stopover at the Port of Garavan is to benefit from quality services, a calm and conducive environment before returning to the sea. Also discover the services of the Old Port of Menton and its careening area, located between Monaco and Italy.

Great harbour to stay in. Unfortunately not well protected from big southern waves (the waves go over the wave breakers). WiFi works well but it is down quite often (it is up for four days and down for three days etc.). Showers and restrooms are clean. Supermarket nearby, laundrymats in the harbour. Harbour office is helpful with recieving post/packages. Really pretty area! Close to botanical gardens.

Arrival at night to refuel ... what a disappointment no machine 24/24. I didn't wait! Port full of wood / floating trees no staff ... no answer to the vhf or the phone.

Arrivée de nuit pour faire le plein... quel déception pas de machine 24/24. J’ai pas attendu! Port remplie de bois /arbres flottants pas de personnel... pas de réponse au vhf ni au téléphone.

Above all, do not come in strong swells and 20 knots of wind because there is a minimum of welcome and assistance. A harbor master !!!! Quite rude and incompetent. Cannot find in these files a reservation accepted by Navily ??? Etc ... If you want to visit this beautiful city, go to the port of Beaulieu-sur-Mer and take the bus or train.
