I enjoyed Bodrum a lot but since I had some heavy jobs needing to be done, I loved the work that Ersun at Monoyacting did on my boat, and since I think it can help also others I want to share my experience with him: On my 43 ft sailing boat, I needed to change a diesel tank and seacocks to get insurance approval for bluewater sailing and a number of other smaller to-dos. As I was in Sardinia when finding out, but was heading East, I asked for recommendations in the Fb Med-Sailing Group and got half a dozen leads in both Croatia, Greece and Turkey. All claimed they could do it, but that they needed to see it first to be able to tell how long time it would take and how much money would be involved. Only Ersun at Monoyachting in Bodrum was researching enough how others had changed the same tank as it’s of a built-in 500 liter type and after proper research he said he could have people ready to do the pretty tough job such that I could relaunch and continue with my family after just 2.5 weeks. Not only was he able to pull off getting the job done, out of the 49(!) other little things I had asked if some perhaps could be done while in the shipyard, 45 of these were also fixed, and another half a dozen items coming up underway were fixed as well. At one point I saw 8 guys working on six different parts at the same time. Having someone with clear communications skills like Ersun to manage all of this, getting the quotes and material needed is invaluable so certainly worth the 10% markup he will put for doing it. The types of jobs that was done for me by Ersun and his guys and that I can recommend anyone asking him about was related to tanks and fittings, engine over-haul, electric work, carpentry, anti-fouling, polishing and waxing, rigging details, gas pipeline, seacocks, teak-deck, stainless steel welding, anchor chain regalvanizing, propeller and shaft bearing changes.

Nice protected marina, but very overpriced. Crazy system to make electricity and water work at the station near your boat. You have to be a rocket scientist to set it up correctly with a special badge. Non of the boats around us made it work at the first time. But for sure, this marina is well equipped and they have all you possibly need from fuel to repair.

Very beautiful perfectly equipped marina. Competent and pleasant reception staff. Immaculate toilets and showers. Located in the city center, everything is done on foot from the marina. And if you like good food, unnecessary to go to the seafront, you have what you need in the marina: Marina Bistro 05332648272 on the technical area side. Remember to book to enjoy the terrace under the stars with a quality sound background.
