Spent 6 months at Port Edgar marina and while money is being spent shore side on restaurants, shops, etc, the amenities for the sailor, were to put it politely, not good. The toilet facilities are in a porta cabin just past Scott's restaurant and a LONG, LONG, LONG walk from the pontoons! During the winter, the showers were at best warm and heating was minimal. Security on the pontoons was awful. The security gates had no automatic closing mechanism and were often left open. On the plus side, tradesmen on site were in the main very good and very helpful. A special mention for the "Sail Doctor" who serviced all my sails and knocked me up a new sail cover. There is also a well stocked chandlery on site.

A lovely located marina under the Forth Bridges. A nice cafe and lovely restaurant are in the marina. There is also a decent chandlers and new clothes shop. A 10 minute walk from the lovely town of South Queensferry with train links nearby to Edinburgh city centre. Showers could do with a bit of modernising but a great place to visit and a warm welcome
