This marina is primarily for motor cruisers and day boats but they made room for our sail boat. The welcome was fantastic. Really helpful and friendly. Couldn't connect to WiFi but they arranged for car hire delivered to the marina. Mt Etna is nearby so well worth a trip if there are no clouds.

Very narrow driveway. Little space to maneuver. We had chosen the last place ourselves. Then the staff came and showed us the place at the Travellift. After we were fixed he told us 150 Euro per night for 13.6 m. Outrageous! Then went to Catania and paid there 48 without shower and toilet. My advice: stay away !!!

Sehr enge Einfahrt. Mein Rat: wegbleiben!!!

My Italian friends in the US laughed when I said I was flying to Catania to meet my husband on our boat. I didn’t expect much. I really like this small marina. We were the only sailboat there. It looks like it is a place for locals to keep their power boats and spend their weekends. Signore Rossi turned a local trash dump into pretty marina with a caffé bar, clean restrooms and shower, and fuel dock. It seems the whole family works there. They have plans to build a fish restaurant. If you want to feel like you are part of a small town community, come to Porto Rossi. My husband said it is easy to get into, but difficult to see the entrance among the lava rock.
