We moored in Marina Salamina in October 2019. In retrospect, we would have preferred a bay. No comparison to the picturesque marinas such as Aegina, Poros etc. If you do not urgently need to come here for fuel or shopping, we do not recommend stopping here. There is nothing special to see in the city and strolling is no fun either.

The port appears to be administered by two bodies: the municipality and the sailing club. The sailing club have the better-protected moorings and I was told by them that there were none available, despite appearances to the contrary. The area run by the municipality is along the South side of the harbour. Mooring is stern-to, by anchor only. I was advised by one local to put two anchors out. In fact, it blew 20 knots during my stay and I put three anchors out, plus lines across adjacent berths from the bow. For a mooring stern-to with bow anchor I felt it was a little exposed. I would not want to leave my boat unattended here for any length of time. I paid €38 for four days including water and electricity. The town has good facilities. The best restaurants are to the west of the town.
