Today we tried enter to the "marina" in search of safe port, because the strongest north-west wind will be all week and there is no place to hide anywhere else in this area. The harbour master ran out and shouted and yelled - get out of here, the port is closed, it does not work, go to the sea or anchor! ) It was aggressive and terrible. (Wish him the same situation and relation after he spent 45 days in sea) This time we ran aground a little at the entrance to the port (!!!), a small motor boat with locals was following us, we asked for help, they walked around us with a laugh and entered in port. All the commentators were right when they said that this island is not for yachting. Go around Santorini on a yacht far away, there is nothing to cherish and you'll be treated by the local "mafia" of charter catamarans as enemies or dogs. There is no such relation anywhere in the world, disgusting place!

Ignoring very shallow entrance (drought 1,8 was on the edge) it was impossible to moor there. The Harbour master, Athanasis as far as I remember, made himself a god for local commercial skippers and changed marina to a private catamaran day cruise cartel. Which is not difficult having under control the only marina in such popular a island. Marina is ONLY for local catamarans even if harbourmaster pretends something else asking stranger boats to wait few hours on anchor to tell them ultimately in the late evening that marina is full. What a surprise! Flotilla of local commercial catamarans waits every day until about 9pm for gracious whistle from harbour god to be allowed to enter eventually.....

No interest, be careful with little background and above all full of charter catamarans. 3 buoys to anchor in front of the port but to choose it is better to take a buoy in the southern beaches.

Pas d’intérêt, attention peu de fond et surtout pleins de catamarans de charter. 3 bouées pour mouiller devant le port mais à choisir il vaut mieux prendre une bouée dans les plages du sud.
