Somehow Yarmouth manages high season in exceptional manner. The first come first served principle means that it is prudent to arrive earlier in high season but gives the berthing masters the flexibility to slot boats in and around as they arrive. It’s quite incredible how much space the little harbour Swallows up. In the winter season it’s such a delight and easy to get walk ashore berths. The pubs are a few mins walk away with roaring fires. Watch the ebb at the entrance and give the ferry a wide berth!

Typical port and very cute! Much more charming and personalized than Cowes. A good starting point for many bicycle and walking tours. Charming river to follow. Charming views. Cozy restaurant & bars. Don't miss the Bakery on the port, the bread is much better than in the supermarket
