Medium hold, strong reverse will make you see that you are skidding smoothly. But with chain and not too much wind, it's good. I left for 2 days and with 20 knots established, 50 meters of chain by 7 meters deep, the boat did not move. 10 short minutes of kayaking to go to the port. We anchored there with a Swan 65 and the time to hoist, we skidded slightly while hoisting the sails to install them. (25m of chain). Not a very pretty place but for a port I expected worse;)

Practical anchorage close to the many shops in the marina. Open to the wind, especially when there's a bit of South in it. In a blow some waves build and make the dinghy ride into the marina a bit bumpy, but not at all rolly as one always point into the wind. We moved out here after being invaded by mosquitoes in the anchorage just north of the marina entrance close to land. The water is murky and not inviting for a swim. Lots of big container ships with tug boats move in and out especially during night or early morning, which always is fun to watch.

Free and convenient anchorage, close to the port and the city. Doubtful performance on a muddy bottom covered with herbaria, in strong winds! Two boats (including mine) completely skidded last night with violent thunderstorms caused by Laura at a distance of 80 nm. I had 60m of chain and a great 30kg Spade anchor! I miraculously regained control of the boat a few yards from a menacing granite block dike.
