The bay to the east of the port is vast but you do not approach the bottom. There are many buoys. The port is very small, little setback to anchor and go up to the quay. The sand is well held. no problem. A few taverns and grocery stores on land.

Anchorage right next to a busy port. Big ferries and daily cruises going in and out all the time, creating big waves, passing very close to the anchored boats. Especially around sunsets. Not a peaceful anchorage. Also lots of seaweed. There are other nearby anchorages much nicer if the weather is calm, for those days without Meltemi.

This was a very busy port with a lot of large ferry traffic. Almost no protection from a north wind, but good protection from swells. The tavernas near the beach are not great, but in town there are some excellent options so I recommend you explore away from the water. We had lunch and left, but perhaps on less crowded times this could be a very nice place.
