Very good anchorage in a North East wind at the end of August 2020, beautiful black sand beach.

Très bon mouillage par vent de Nord Est fin août 2020, belle plage de sable noire.

Much less busy than the western anchorage only a few hundred meters away. We arrived at to find that western anchorage crowded with boats and no one in this more Eastern anchorage. Holding appears good. Plenty of shelter from the cliffs.

Spent three nights here in Nov. 2018 during strong winds from the north. Near the beach we were well sheltered. Other boats a bit further out had more wind but no one had a problem. There are some big rocks in near the cliffs. Landing a dinghy on the beach is difficult in the swell but easy in the harbour. The hardware store that sells fishing gear also sells lots of other useful stuff. Helpful and speaks english. Spar is biggest grocery store at end of town.
