Attention sometimes rocks, put a rope, what we did not do, the sea rose, we were for an anchor left on the spot with the chain of 60 meters, the next day we were able to recover our material and to dive but anchor folded and non reusable, many day activities, jet skis and sightseeing boats

An anchorage of exception to discover with a technical anchor. Watch out for the rocks. Very relaxing place with winds of less than 15 knots. The beach of Papagayo is a place to discover. The seabed is very clear.

Well protected from the dominant north east winds, nice beach. Bottom is a mix of sand and rocks. Winds tend to turn towards south and west before sunset and during the night even if the general pattern is North East, needs to be factored in when anchoring. Gardia civil will ask you to leave if you are too close to the beach (200 meters). Party boats have mooring balls to the west side of the beach, but are gone by 5 pm.
