As previously said, there are scrap metal in the bay and I got my chain wrapped around some. Gets crowded and noisy during the weekends and I found it way nicer to anchor in 8-10m mud on the NW side of the loading dock against the old wall. To visit the Valletta, you can park the dinghy on the town side of Laguna Marina behind the cruise ship key. Just make sure you call them on channel 13 before entering the narrow canal under the bridge.

Good anchorage and well protected , easy access to town and to public transit to go anywhere else … We stayed here for over a week..Be aware that on weekends it gets very busy with lots of power boats coming in , lots of people at the beach and party at night.
