Really a great bay with a lot of room. We came at night from Palermo and it was very easy to find a good spot. Holding was excellent.

Really pleasant anchorage. No motorboats or if there are they’re very polite and slow. We anchored in silty sand at 3.5m but dragged some 50m during the night into 9m in 30knt gusts. We had no one near us so later set the anchor again and it held very fast. The beach is lovely later in the evening. I don’t think you can take the dinghy though. We paddle boarded. The sunset was amazing. In the marina there are plenty of places to tie up a dinghy without a problem on a small pontoon near all the shops. There’s a nicely stocked supermarket and great restaurants, bars and cafes. It’s a nice little walk up to the ruins overlooking the bay. Really nice experience and stayed two nights.
