Regio is a port that we take because there is no other way. Storm or we need a break. We think he's ok for that. Staff very nice. The rest is known. No supply, swell of the ferry and some noise from the street, a WIFI that has certainly not worked for years and high prices. If you are already there in the city, it is surprisingly beautiful and if you eat 3 streets behind the promenade you will be surprised by good cuisine at good prices.

This marina is located north of the main port of Reggio Calabria. The entrance opens to port just past the red. We arrived with 15 knots of north wind. The sailors are very friendly and do not hesitate to help moor, getting on the boat if necessary, when, as in our case, conditions are difficult. Its disadvantage is that the wave of large ships entering the port and, above all, the tidal wave of the north wind enter and agitate the water a lot. The dock is made of concrete and is moored forward or aft, with dead lines. You have to leave enough respect, so a catwalk is necessary. We didn't have one, but the sailors gave us one. Another drawback is the train line that runs parallel to the coast at all hours. Very noisy. We pay € 45 for a 11m long sailboat, with water and electricity included. The gas station was not working and we were unable to load diesel. Entrance formalities are non-existent. They only ask for the ship's documentation, not even insurance or proof of COVID or PCR vaccination. They have showers in the bunkhouse that also serves as an office. We do not use them. The port is very convenient for stopping and refueling water and food en route to Greece. There is a large supermarket of the COOP chain within a 20 minute walk, where we were able to stock up at very affordable prices. Exiting the marina is tedious, since you have to travel the entire port facility to the south, until you exit through the entrance to the port. In this area of the city, at least on our way to the supermarket, there is nothing attractive. Very hot, dirty, with uncollected garbage bags piled up on the sidewalks, no sign of containers. At Customer Service they asked us for a taxi to return. Reckless driving, like all traffic in the city, and very expensive. In the Imray guide and in some comments in Navily they talk about the famous Saverio that has been serving passers-by in the marina for years. We do not use your services, although you came to introduce yourself and offer us your card.

Very helpful staff with good English skills, after telephone registration 30 minutes before arrival, they were already waiting for us at the jetty. The boss immediately jumped on board and put both Moringen lines in front himself. Small but very clean toilets. The nearby train station didn't bother us at night. We did the recommended registration with the Coastguard on channel 8, which was well received by the other side. Very well protected harbor basin. This morning there was a bag with two croissants and a business card from the local taxi company in the cockpit. Here the number: 09654 3974
