Perhaps a little too quiet for a longer stay on board. The restaurant/bar/yacht club “La punta” has a fantastic location and good food and service - although rather expensive. The Spar supermarket in the marina complex is well stocked and reasonably priced for such a captive market. A large Mercadona supermarket is only 15 mins away by bike. Without a bike you would have to walk on the main road - a bit scary. A 30 min walk along the beach (sand, rocks and pebbles) will get you to the start of the dunes in Maspalomas. Near the Maspalomas lighthouse there are many up-market boutiques and restaurants - presumably for the visitors to the golf course that is close by. Further along a number of lower cost beach bars and cafe/restaurants. Be aware that the visitors berths are near the entrance to the port where, even in benign conditions where there is no apparent swell in the bay outside the port, there can be a considerable surge. You really do need shock absorbers on your lines and careful attention to line lengths and the positioning of fenders ro avoid hitting the pontoon. Once you have spent a tidal cycle in the berth, with adequate lines and fenders, I would have no worries about leaving the boat unattended; providing a blow from the South is not forecast.

Nice, quiet, little harbor Gated community therefore less audience Friendly and committed management, Our experience: Inquiries by email can be worthwhile Varadero offers more than expected Kleiner Sparmarkt offers all the essentials Yacht club at the pier head with Wi-Fi Plenty of parking, bus stop around 800 m Also interesting in connection with the anchorage in the east

We hauled out here after looking at other yards in GC and in Tenerife. The staff are fantastic. Professional, helpful and courteous. The cost is very reasonable too. We stayed on board whilst ashore with no problem at all. The small Spar shop is really quite good and the staff are delightful.
