The new port of Porto Maurizio, located in the heart of the city, near the beautiful sandy beaches and the picturesque promontory and ancient village of Porto Maurizio, is easily accessible: by plane it is located just 114 km from Genoa airport, 87.9 km from Nice and 39.8 km from Albenga, on the A10 motorway it is 64.5 km from Montecarlo and 23.2 km from Arma di Taggia and by sea it is 10 miles from Sanremo and 25 miles from Montecarlo. Its very sheltered and safe dock can accommodate up to 1300 private or commercial boats between 5 and 90 meters. Imperia, a town on the Riviera dei Fiori, is the capital of the Ligurian province of Ponente. A past in an area with an industrial prevalence, a present with a renewed tourist vocation. The city offers visitors authentic experiences among the blue of the sea, the seabed, the Cetacean Sanctuary, the sailing boats, the fishing tradition and the green of the hinterland, gently hilly, suspended between small villages, vineyards and terraced olive trees. . Olive oil has always been a symbol of Imperia's excellence in the world. The coast is characterized by a lively succession of sandy and pebble beaches. The colorful seaside villages, animated by the life of the marinas, offer typical views of Liguria. The city enjoys a mild and sunny climate thanks to which it has earned the title of city with the best climate in Italy. Imperia boasts two naturalistic sites of community importance. The seabed offers splendid meadows of oceanic Posidonia, submerged caves, natural coral environments, treasures of flora and fauna biodiversity of undisputed importance; the stretch of sea it overlooks is one of the richest areas of life in the Mediterranean, rightly included in the Cetacean Sanctuary. In the summer, hundreds of mammals, especially dolphins, zifi and sperm whales meet a few meters from the Imperia coast to offer extraordinary beauty shows.

A great stopover with more than one title: a welcome on booking (by Navily, it works great) then on arrival with remarkable efficiency, with a smile on top of that. We can say that in Imperia there are three ports, two of which are in Porto Maurizio (2 combined in 1). The old port, entering straight at the bottom on the left (we pass in front of units over 40m) with the visitors' M pontoon (not in winter) and the new one entering on the right with the direction of the port. The M pontoon is immediately accessible to the city center on foot with the private or public beach opposite. In summer the reception desk is on the 1st floor in the magnificent building above the restaurant. A bit of noise but that's the life of the tourist center with many restaurants in the small streets. These little bars, its fun fair and lots of space to play sports. All at an unbeatable price in the area because we paid 62 € / night for a 44 ’catamaran. The plus: a baroque city made of a whole architecture to discover. Info: a ship in the fishing port with the engine manufacturer next to it and another in front of the Imperia shipyard. Lidl, Carrefour and CONAD are supermarkets a bit far away (the first is 10 minutes by bike) but there are small grocery stores opposite the port. Fuel pump at the entrance to the other port in town IMPERIA ONELIA HARBOR. To recommend !

A recommander !
