Sète, maritime city of character. The Sète marina is an attractive and original stopover. The charm of the canals and the picturesque side of its Fishing Port make Sète a town of character, bathed by both the Mediterranean and the Etang de Thau. Sète seduces with its singularity. Its light, its maze of canals, its port and its boats, its great figures too, form a natural setting with its atypical beauty. "The singular island" gives pride of place to its authenticity, mixing its maritime traditions with an artistic and cultural energy open to the world. At the heart of the Mediterranean arc, the port of Sète has for decades welcomed many boaters in the city center on the water level of the Saint-Louis mole, the historic port of the city of Sète. The entire marina team will be delighted to welcome you there and thus allow you to have an excellent stopover. (Please note you must reach the port of Sète at 5 p.m. at the latest in off and low seasons and 7 p.m. in high season).

Berthed on a finger pontoon, in the large sheltered marina. Visitors berths to starboard on arrival, and allocated by the captainerie. Showers and toilets ok (located in various places...on the pontoon, at the captainerie, in portakabins) and washing machine in the captainerie shower block 5 euros. A 15-20 minutes walk into the centre of town where there is a modern indoor market, 'Les Halles', supermarkets, restaurants etc. Sète is an interesting town with a large fishing port and Montpellier is only a short train ride away, which is worth a visit. Found it useful to take the free number 6 bus which does a circular route every 20 minutes from 'Passage le Dauphin' to the 'SNCF/TGV train station' and stops at Carrefour, with Lidl nearby. We stayed 6 nights due to the windy weather in September 2020 and paid 206 euros for the week as it worked out cheaper than the daily rate.

Harbor master's office difficult to reach by VHF. The fishing port atmosphere compensates for the presence of ferries. Rather dilapidated and disorganized overall appearance despite recent work. Very slippery concrete pontoons in rainy weather. Sanitary facilities in algeco. We were installed in a very narrow place. Unmissable step for a discovery of this typical city and its specialties.
