After having crossed the entrance pass which is the most convenient in strong breeze of all the ports between Boulogne and Zeebrugge, go into the south-eastern channel. The North Sea Yacht Club with its floating pontoons is to starboard at the bottom of the basin. Benefit: the YCMN offers excellent shelter especially in case of bad weather from West to South-West. The immediate proximity of a shipwright, a mechanic and a sailmaker make it a privileged stopover for all yachtsmen transiting from East to West and to England or Brittany. At the club itself the visitor has a small mechanical workshop. Crane possibilities for a 25 ton boat are also available in a nearby environment In addition, Dunkirk town center is 500 meters from the club and there will always be a member ready to provide the embarrassed visitor with his personal car. Free city bus service 5 minutes walk away. Supermarket located 20 minutes walk. Bakery (bread available at the club house) For leisure, the beach of Malo les Bains is 10 minutes away! There is also a Casino. Contemporary art museum, Operation Dynamo museum, port museum

The port is very good u. is presented by a very nice harbor master. A bit expensive...

... a lot of helpful and friendly people. We experienced a hurricane in this harbor and felt well secured at the jetties. Unfortunately there is a lot of big industry in the immediate vicinity with thick chimneys. The sanitary area was very clean.

Well equipped harbor. Very friendly staff. Sanitary area clean and well maintained. The showers could be a bit warmer. The city of Dunkerque can be reached on foot in about 10 - 15 minutes. The city offers an informative offer: Musee la la Port, War Museum, Art Museums, ... A stop is always worthwhile. The port is easy to navigate, both at HW, and at LW.

Gut ausgestattet Hafen. Sehr freundliches Personal.
