Stayed six nights at anchor here as strong north winds meant we were stuck. Great train service to Lisbon. Good holding in sand with 30+ knots of wind at times. Marina very friendly. Used inside of fuel pontoon for dinghy but paid €9.50 for dinghy short (six hours) stay which gives use of facilities and laundry. Felt reasonable after using the fuel pontoon for free all week.

Swell can be big here so check your forecasts well - especially if heading on up north. Town is pretty. 20 minute walk to big and very well stocked supermarket.

Good hold and sheltered anchorage. Easy disembarkation and the city all around (55 min by train from Lisbon). Noisy during the day in season due to the activities of the bay but you never get bored. Be careful, there are old anchors lying around at the bottom (the end of our mooring got caught in one of it and we had to dive to loosen it)
