Many things previously said are true. Except for the person taking the moorings (Harris). He was very nice, provided us a lot of information on the site and its possibilities and even serves as a "concierge service": gas, diesel, super market delivery, laundry service, taxi. All this for 10 € with receipt and smile !!!

Tout cela pour 10€ avec reçu et sourire !!!

Avoid mooring at the port. Unpleasant, officious and unfriendly “linesman” will attempt to scalp you out of 10 euros to take your line. He will likely drop it as he doesn’t have a clue. According to him, yachtsmen are not permitted to help others get tied up, something I’ve never heard anywhere in Greece and when challenged he will tell you he’ll get the port police. If the Nafplion mayor or port authority read this review, perhaps they’d reconsider if this is actually a local law. The community of yachts people world wide have always helped one another and to visit a place where this is seemingly not allowed is one of the reasons we will not return. Additionally, the place stinks of sewers, has no facilities (electric or water on the quay). A shame because the city is vibrant and the fort on top of the hill is magnificent. Future visits will be made by anchoring in the adjacent bay and walking along the coastal path to the city, or climbing the steps to the fort.

Indeed, there is a gentleman who offers his services it is 10 euros to take your moorings but he gives you the price before taking your moorings ... you can refuse ... this is what we have made no problem! The port has a small taste of sewers ... a small chop with 15 kn N but it's bearable! But the city is worth seeing it is very nice!
